Information Technology (Modules at NFQ Level 5)

Learn wordprocessing and spreadsheet methods at NFQ Level 5 to improve your prospects of securing employment or advance to 3rd Level education.

Who is this course aimed at?

This course has been designed for adults with less than upper second level qualifications who would like to improve their chances of securing a job or who would wish to progress onto 3rd Level education.

What will I learn?

Having completed this course you will have learned to-

· Investigate a range of common uses of spreadsheets

· Explore key elements including cells, formulas graphs & macros

· Spreadsheet design techniques .

· Develop practical skills required to use word package .

·  Develop knowledge of file management and produce professional documents.

What progression options are there?

Successful completion will have increased your employability skills.

What do I need?

· You must have a good command of the English language.

· You must have a good working knowledge of computers .

· Good key board skills.

· Time to complete home assignments

Additional Information

Applicants are required to complete an application form and a language comprehension/literacy skills assessment. Priority will be given to people in receipt of a DSP payment (JSB/JSA/JST) and / or do not have a leaving certificate or higher qualification.
