LUCAN -WORK EXPERIENCE COURSE-STARTING SOON

Work Experience is a planned experiential learning activity and is an integral part of an educational process. It involves learners preparing and planning for work, working under direction in a specific vocational area and reviewing and evaluating that work. The experience of work enables learners to develop work skills, evaluate employment opportunities and cope with changing work environments.

The purpose of this course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to actively and positively participate in a multi-culture society by showing respect, tolerance, and acceptance to cultural differences

LUCAN – INTRODUCTORY COURSES- STARTING IN FEBRUARY 2023

A range of certified courses to get you back into education or expand your subject knowledge. Each course is certified by the national certifying body Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) at Level 3.

You can take one or more courses depending on your interests and time available to you.

READING, WRITING, SPELLING & MATHS COURSES

Do you need help with your children’s homework? If so, North Clondalkin Library and DDLETB’s Adult Education Service (SouthWest) are running a Family Learning course for parents. There will be plenty of advice, tips and tricks to help you support your child with their learning at home.

BACK-TO-EDUCATION COURSES – FEBRUARY 2023

A range of new Back-to-Education Initiative courses will commence in February 2023. These flexible part-time courses are aimed at adults who wish to return to education to acquire certification in subject areas that lead to employment or higher education opportunities.

Each subject requires a commitment of 4 hours per week over a 15 week period. A maximum of 4 subjects may be undertaken at one time.

All courses are accredited by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI).

Please Note: Some courses may only be available in one location.

Aontas Learner’s Festival Celebrations

  The Adult Education Service (South West) recently celebrated Aontas Learner’s Festival. The festival took place from the 7th – 11th March and we had multiple activities across our centres in Tallaght, Lucan and Clondalkin.
